What is the History of the Ford GT Heritage Edition?
Well if you watched Ford vs. Ferrari, you might know a lot about the history of the Heritage Edition. The GT40 won the Daytona 24-hour endurance run in 1966 and also won the Le Mans later that year as well which was a very big deal for Ford back then. The GT40 Mark II took the first place in the Daytona and after four months three of these cars secured the first three places in the Le Mans.
Ford has given tribute to that victory by launching the Heritage Edition model that offers the same graphics as the GT40 Mark II that won the race. These graphics include the white paint on the exterior of the car, a carbon fiber hood, 98 roundel graphics on the sides and the spoiler, and accents of red that can be found throughout the car. The wheels of this car are special too as Ford offers 20-inch aluminum Heritage Gold alloys and red Brembo monoblock brake calipers.
How Good Is The Interior Of The Ford GT Heritage Edition?
The interior of the car is very richly appointed as it is covered by Alcantara and the red color looks very sporty. There is also a Heritage upgrade package that adds 20-inch exposed carbon-fiber wheels and black monoblock calipers. The 98 roundels can be seen on the driver and passenger carbon-fiber door panels.
