The CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk has stated that the Roadster would go from 0-60 mph in 1.9 seconds and has a top speed of 250 mph. Tesla Roadster 2021 Overview

The all-new Tesla Roadster is an addition to the Tesla lineup and a successor to the Tesla Roadster 2008, which was one of the first Electric Vehicles in the Industry. It comes in two models which ane namely: Base & Founders Series. As Elon Musk ( CEO of Tesla ) said it can do 0-60 mph in 1.9 seconds and has a top speed of 250 mph. There is no differentiation between the two models disclosed by Tesla till now besides the fact that only 1000 Funders Series model units will be made.

Tesla Roadster 2021 Performance

When the Tesla Roadster Concept was unveiled in November 2017, Elon Musk stated some top-of-the-line specs about the 2021 Tesla Roadster including the outrageous 0-60 mph time which will be 1.9 seconds and a top speed of over 250 mph. Tesla has destroyed all the competition and it was also said that the Roadster can do a quarter-mile in just 8.8 seconds which is just outstanding. The Tesla Roadster will be an All-Wheel-Drive because of the two electric motors ( one in the front and one at the back) which will power all the wheels.

Battery Life, Range

The Tesla Roadster will have a 200-kWh battery which will provide up to 620 miles in a full charge, it is only achievable in very less use of the car. The Roadster’s fuel economy hasn’t been released yet but we will keep you updated as the release date comes closer.

Interior

The Roadster we saw in 2017 was just a concept and concepts are way different from the actual production cars. But still, the 2017 Tesla Roadster concept had a removable glass-panel roof, which you can stow in the trunk. The Roadster was a four-seater car, but as shown in the concept they were too small to fit adults. Tesla’s standard interior is what we expect to see in the production unit. And as for the infotainment unit of the car, Tesla doesn’t offer Apple Carplay, Android Auto and Sirius XM so don’t expect any of it instead the Roadster will offer wi-fi hotspot, Spotify integration, and a host of visual entertainment apps such as Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube to keep drivers entertained while the car is parked and is charging.

Safety and Driver-Assistance

Since only the concept car had been revealed there hadn’t been any crash tests of the car. But as expected, Tesla will offer all its latest tech and driver assistance features including the famous autopilot semi-autonomous driving system. The key safety features will include Standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, Standard lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control with a semi-autonomous driving mode.

Warranty & Maintenance

We anticipate the Roadster will offer the same standard warranty package as the rest of Tesla’s lineup, which includes an eight-year warranty on the car’s electric motors and battery pack. The limited warranty covers 50,000 miles or four years and the powertrain warranty covers eight years, regardless of miles.

Tesla is not likely to come with a complimentary maintenance plan, unlike its competitors.

Pricing

There will be two models of the Tesla Roadster 2021, base and Founders Edition. No differences have been revealed yet in the two models except one in which there will be only 1000 Founders Edition cars built. There is a difference of $50,000 between the two models.

The base model’s cost is estimated to be $200,000 and The Founders Edition Model is estimated to be $250,000.

Conclusion

The 2021 Tesla Roadster is a very aggressive machine. The concept of the Roadster was unveiled in November 2017, since then it has been in the spotlight because of its amazing specs and the unbelievable 0-60 mph and Quarter-mile time which are 1.9 seconds and 8.8 seconds respectively. The Tesla Roadster is a beast and we don’t have much information about it yet but when it will be in production we’re sure that it will gain a lot of attention and spotlight. The Roadster is a very futuristic car by all means and Tesla is the one that has been in the Electric Vehicle Industry for a long time now and has also made one of the world’s first Electric vehicles ( The Tesla Roadster 2008 ). So if you’re looking for an EV that is as powerful and maybe more powerful than the gas-powered cars Tesla Roadster is the one for you.
