BMW 7-Series 2020 Review: Alright in today’s post I am going to show you the full review of the 2020 BMW 7-Series.

Overview

The all-new 7-Series combined with luxury and performance. It is a type of car that can keep on driving silently without letting you know anything. It is packed with all the latest techs that can be offered in a luxury sedan. The engines of the car are varied from 320 horsepower turbocharged inline-six to the beastly twin-turbo V-12 that produces 601 horsepower. There’s also a new plug-in hybrid model added in the lineup named 745e which has a 12.0-kWh battery pack which helps it to produce 389 horsepower. BMW offers five cars in the 7-Series lineup.

BMW 7-Series 2020 Performance

From the 740i’s 320-hp turbocharged inline-six to the M760i’s mighty 601-hp twin-turbo V-12 very car of the lineup feels very luxurious. Even the 745e hybrid model also gives a very natural feel while driving. Every 7-Series share an eight-speed automatic gearbox and an X-Drive ( all-wheel-drive system ) except the 740i model in which the X-Drive feature is optional.

The 7-Series lineup is full of additional features that include Cold Weather Package, which adds heated front seats and steering wheel, heated rear seats, and a remote start feature and Driving Assistance Professional package a semi-autonomous driving mode that is very useful in traffic jams. BMW offers five cars in the lineup which include a plug-in hybrid model that uses a 12.0 kWh battery. All the models are:

  • 740i

  • Alpina B7

The interior of the car is very spacious and luxurious like all the luxury sedans in the market. It is full of features and it gives a very rich and futuristic look from the inside. BMW’s iDrive infotainment system is very attractive and offers a lot of features it can be controlled via the touchscreen or a quick and intuitive control on the center of the dashboard. Every 7-series model offers two USB ports for front-seat passengers and four 12-volt plugs that can be found in the car. A Samsung tablet with a dock between the rear seats is available, giving passengers remote access to some infotainment features. Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth are standard but Android Auto isn’t available.

Fuel Efficiency

The 745e plug-in hybrid model offers a 12.0-kWh battery located in the back of the car and is said to offer up to 16 miles of electric-only driving. The pack can be recharged using 110-volt, 220-volt, or DC fast-charging systems. The other non-electric models offer 22 miles-per-gallon in the city and 29 miles-per-gallon on the highway.

Safety & Driver Assistance

The 7-Series is full of the latest driver assistance features that can be present in a car. From blind-spot monitoring to semi-autonomous self-steering highway cruise control, the 7-Series has everything available. some additional driver assistance features include:

  • Low-speed automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection
  • Lane-keeping assist
  • Adaptive cruise control with semi-autonomous driving mode
