The M5 Competition is a very powerful sports sedan that is based on the all-new 5-Series. The M division of the company has made this car. It offers a twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 617 horsepower. It has many additional features and you can also upgrade it as BMW gives a wide range of options to choose from. The interior of the car is also very premium and sporty. The M5 is very fun to drive and has excellent handling and steering response, and it is very good in corners as well. A bunch of latest driver-assistance features is also available in the lineup.

A beastly twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8 engine with 600 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque is offered in the 2021 M5. The M5 Competition offers a better engine that adds an additional 17 horses in the stable. The M5 competition goes from 0-60 in an ( estimated time ) of 2.9 seconds and the top speed is 155 mph and can be upgraded to 199 mph by M Competition package. It offers an 8-speed “M Steptronic” automatic transmission and rear-wheel-drive. The M5 is very fun to drive and has excellent handling and steering response, and it is very good in corners as well. You can also select the Comfort driving mode that can make the cockpit quiet if you want to feel the luxury of the car.

BMW M5 Competition 2021 Interior

The interior of the 2021 M5 feels very premium and sporty. The driving position of the seat is also very sporty and performance-based. The interior is leather and the lighting is customizable in the M5. Some additional features include a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, a power-adjustable steering column, ventilated front seats with massage functions, heated rear seats, and four-zone automatic climate control.

There’s a large 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen display in the center console that runs BMW’s latest iDrive infotainment software, the display can also be controlled via a rotary knob. The system offers Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. a 16-speaker, 600-watt Harman/Kardon audio system is standard but you can upgrade it to a 16-speaker, 1400-watt Bowers & Wilkins sound system. Wireless device charging is also available in all the models.

Fuel Economy

The fuel economy of the M5 hasn’t been released yet but we expect it to be the same as the previous year’s model which is 15 miles-per-gallon in the city and 21 miles-per-gallon on the highway.

Safety & Driver Assistance

The 2021 M5 hasn’t been crash-tested by the authorities yet but it offers some of the latest driver assistance features such as automatic high-beams, blind-spot monitoring, forward-collision warning, automated emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and cruise control with stop-and-go technology.

Additional Features

Some of the additional features of the M5 lineup include 20-inch wheels, extra black exterior accents, a standard M Sport exhaust system that increases the volume of the engine’s monstrous sounds, a 360-degree camera system, ventilated front-seat cushions with built-in massagers, heated front and rear seats, parking sensors at both ends, power-operated rear window shades, self-parking assist, and soft-close automatic doors.
