The Model S was launched back in 2012 and since then the other auto-makers are trying to compete in the EV industry. It is still amazing because of the drive-range on this thing is 402 miles. The Model S is very quick as well and has a 0-60 mph time of 2.4 seconds. There are two models of this car offered by Tesla. It doesn’t have any major updates since last year’s model but some new features include an adaptive air suspension, all-new V3 supercharging that will reduce the charging time by 25 percent.

Tesla Model S Performance
The Model S offers very quick acceleration. It is all-wheel-drive as two different electric motors power the front and the rear axels. The weight distribution is even in the car. But, being an EV it doesn’t make any sound while driving. There are different modes that will allow you to choose a heavy or light steering effort. It has very responsive steering and the ride comfort is also very good.
Tesla Model S Variants
There will be two variants of the Model S which include:
- Long Range Plus
- Performance
The Long Range Plus variant will provide a better range and battery life than the Performance variant.
Tesla Model S Interior
The interior of the Model S is quite simple, we’d expect something more luxurious in the interior of the car based on its price tag like the E-Class. Although the Model S offers a huge cargo space of 26 cubic feet. The infotainment system includes a huge display on the center console that controls almost all the functions of the car.

Battery Life
The Long Range Plus variant offers 402 miles of range with a full charge and the Performance variant will offer a range of 348 miles on a full charge.
Safety & Driver Assistance
The Model S has been rumored to catch fires after crashing at high speeds but after the crash-testing of the car by the authorities, it is now confirmed that the car fires are common the EVs and the gasoline-powered vehicles. The driver-assistance features include:
- Automated emergency braking
- Lane-departure warning
- Adaptive cruise control with semi-autonomous driving mode
