2021 BMW M4 Competition Convertible Revealed
BMW has revealed the M4 Competiton Convertible model and it just looks breathtaking!
- New fabric roof available which is said to be lighter than the hardtop.
- Same straight-six 503 hp engine as M4 Competiton Coupe.
- Top speed limited to 250 kph.
The fabric rooftop is said to weigh 40% less than the hardtop in its predecessor. The rooftop can be rolled up & down in 18 seconds to the speeds of 50 kph.
2021 M4 Competiton Convertible: Powertrain
The 2021 BMW M4 Competiton Convertible offers the same straight-six 503 hp engine as the M4 Competiton Coupe and does 0-100 kph in just 3.7 secs which is just 0.2 secs slower than the Coupe.
And, BMW has no plans of launching as RWD (rear-wheel-drive) version of the M4 Convertible. Its production is said to start in July 2021. The transmission options will be the same as the Coupe version of the M4 Competiton.
Top Speed has also been limited to 250 kph in the M4 Competiton Convertible.
M4 Convertible: Interior Features
The electric roof can roll down in just 18 secs at speeds of up to 50 kph.
The glass rear window and panel bow structural elements keep the cabin quieter and help to control the sudden drops in temperature.
There is also an ample amount of cool interior features such as a standard-fit Air Collar system directing warm air to commuter’s necks and heads to bump up the comfort when the top is folded, electrically adjustable heated sports seats, LED interior lighting, three-zone automatic climate control, and a Harman Kardon sound system.
BMW has also claimed that because of the new fabric roof, there’s 80-litres more boot capacity.

BMW is yet to introduce the M3 & M4 lineup in India as they’re more focused to launch the new 5-Series beforehand these performance sedans.
