2021 Hyundai Kona N has been revealed and it is performance focused version of the standard Kona. Hyundai plans to give the N badge to 18 other cars by the end of 2022.

Hyundai Kona N Powertrain

The Hyundai Kona N is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine which sends the power to the front wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The Hyundai Kona N also has some very interesting features when it comes to its performance as it offers three different performance driving modes namely the N power shift, N grin Shift and N Track sense shift. The first one will help you get a smoother and a faster upshift followed by some bangs and crackers, the second one will give the driver a 20-second boost while downshifting and the third one is track-focused and it will record drivers lap time and gear shifts to make the driver go faster in the next lap.

The Hyundai Kona N weighs 1,510kg and can do 0-100kmph in just 5.5 seconds and has a top speed of 240kmph.

The 10.25-inch touchscreen floats in the middle and when you select the N mode it will show you lap times and other technical track stuff as well. There are a bunch of other features such as launch control and the interior is full of Alcantara and N badging can be seen throughout the car.

The Kona N looks like a high-performance hatchback due to all the aero-kit, bigger and wider wheels, coloured bumpers and the big exhausts at the back.

The New Kona N features a wider body than the standard Kona, Pirelli P Zero tyres are also available for grabs with 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels and the brakes are also upgraded. The Kona N also has an electronic limited-slip differential system which helps the driver to keep the car in control at high speeds while turning. And the last thing is that the suspension can also be stiffened up by the touch of a button.

Will The Kona N Launch In India?

There is no information by Hyundai about launching Kona N in India but there are some plans of launching the i20 N in India shortly. Hyundai also plans to give the N Badging to 18 other cars by the end of 2022.
