2021 Hyundai Elantra has been unveiled recently and it is expected to lauch in the latter half of June 2021 right after the lauch of Alcazar.
Out of many car launches which are delayed due to this COVID-19 Pandemic lockdown which is imposed in many major cities of India, Hyundai Elantra is one of them and it has some absolute killer looks, along with a powerful engine.
Hyundai is finally offering a hybrid engine the next-gen Elantra, and it is an absolute Civic killer.
And let’s be honest, the current-gen Hyundai Elantra has some very ugly looks and we’re glad that Hyundai has taken this step to launch the new-gen Elantra in India.
2021 Hyundai Elantra | How better is it?
- Gets a way better look than the current-gen Elantra.
- Internationally offered in a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine but expected to launch in India with a 1.4 or 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and a diesel engine option which depends upon the demand.
- Finally now has a digital instrument cluster and the whole interior layout is based on Mercedes’s new single-screen format.
What are the interior changes in the new Elantra?
The next-gen Hyundai Elantra 2021 has revamped the whole interior from scratch and it is so much better than the low-quality materials used in the previous-gen model.
The instrument cluster is digital and is on a singular panel that connects the infotainment screen which is similar to Mercedes’s new single-screen format. Both the screens will be of 10.25-inches and now the Elantra will come with wireless Apple Carplay. All the other software are also standard along with Hyundai’s Blue-Link tech.
In addition, there are going to be lots of new safety techs available in the 2021 Elantra.
The rear seats are now also going to be very spacious due to the longer wheelbase there will be more legroom & shoulder room and Hyundai is obviously going to offer the Ventilated front seats as they offered it in the new Hyundai Creta.
Other than that, a new bose 8-speaker sound system will be available as a choice along with a small sunroof like the previous year’s model.
2021 Hyundai Elantra Launch Date & Price
The expected price of the 2021 Hyundai Elantra is 20-25 lakhs INR.
New-Gen Elantra: Additonal Info
Hyundai is offering a hybrid powertrain in the new Elantra for the first time, but they haven’t revealed the engine specifications but internationally it is offered in a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine which produces 147 bhp.
The Elantra is now going to come in CVT transmission option only and we’re not so sure about the diesel engine as we don’t know if it will come to India or not.
The New Honda Civic has also been revealed globally but we don’t know yet if it will come to our shores or not. It will offer some less aggressive looks and due to the increasing market of these types of performance sedans, it looks like the Civic will launch in India by the end of this year or early next year.
